pinterest will make me fat

Agreed.

when like marries like

"Only when like marries like can there be any happiness." - Gerald O'Hara, Gone with The Wind

Sometimes I feel like I'm starring in an episode of "Girls Behaving Badly".  Other times I feel like my husband should be starring in a show titled "Men Behaving Badly".  We keep a homemade chalkboard in our house that we update periodically with a fitting quote.  Some days it may be a bible verse or inspiring quote and other days it may be a sweet note to one another.  The hubby debuted on his version of "Men Behaving Badly" last weekend.  I guess he was feeling guilty and left a sweet quote for me on the chalkboard.  I can't remember the quote at the moment, but here is another favorite quote that is equally suitable.

old friends

"It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

I don't like to go very long without seeing some of my old friends.  They keep me grounded and keep me happy.  They let me go to wal-mart without showering and veg out with a large pizza in hand.  They don't care that I stalked an ex or may or may not have gone to jail.  They tell me if I have a camel toe or high waters and laugh with me when I realize this is true.  No matter the level of my ridiculousness, they are there no matter what.
That, to me, is what friends are for.

Keep your face to the Sunshine

"Keep your face to the Sunshine and you cannot see the shadow."  -Helen Keller

It is so rainy and gloomy here in SC.  Once the rain passes we don't have the warm summer days to look forward to any longer.  I like this quote.  It gives me a little hope during these somber days and in everyday life.  I think it helps to remind us to keep pushing forward no matter what.  Think positive and forget about your negatives.

Mondays are NOT

source

"Mondays are a piece of CAKE...with 500 less calories."

I certainly am glad to know that someone out there thinks so.  I, personally, seem to always catch the oh so contagious case of 'The Mondays'.  That is until I get my caffeine fix.  If you're going to talk about cake, don't bring up the calorie count. I'll have my cake and eat it...plus its 500+ calories...and I'll do it on Monday too.
